Dead Horses on the Sidewalks
Before the advent of the Automobile, major health concerns, and even epedemics occurred as a result of owners allowing their expired horses to lay abandoned on the streets left to rot. Decaying horses and dropping remains often led to outbreaks of disease and illness; often causing the deaths of hundreds.
Thanks to the introduction of the "Horseless Carriage", such plagues are now a thing of the past.
