Coalition Launches Children’s Health Insurance Outreach Campaign
The CBS Television Network, Viacom Outdoor Group and the Kaiser Family Foundation on June 3 launched a yearlong public education campaign to inform the parents of uninsured children about public health coverage options. The campaign will include public service announcements on television and bus posters aimed at the parents of the estimated five million uninsured children who are eligible for but not enrolled in either Medicaid or CHIP. The PSAs -- which say "Is your child one of the 5 million?" -- include a toll-free telephone number parents can call for more information about enrolling a child in either program. The ads are available online. Note: You must have RealPlayer to view the ads (KFF release, 6/3).
