Bono, Frist, Graham, Holbrooke Airlift Christmas Gifts to HIV-Positive African Children
Irish rock star Bono, Sen. Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) and Richard Holbrooke, president of Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS and former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, yesterday joined evangelist Franklin Graham in airlifting Christmas gifts to HIV-positive children in Africa, the Associated Press reports. A cargo plane set to depart from Kennedy Airport in New York City held 83,000 individual gifts packed in shoeboxes destined for children in Uganda and the Sudan.
