WGBH Radio to Air Two Weeks of Special Reports on Family Caregiving
The health desk at WGBH 89.7FM, a Boston radio station featuring NPR news and cultural programming, will air two weeks of special reports titled "What's Love Got to Do With It?" exploring family caregiving issues each weekday from Monday, Nov. 19 through Friday, Nov. 30 at 7:50 a.m. ET. The reports during the first week "draw heavily" from the radio staff's personal experiences, exploring a "wide array of family relationships and dynamics." During the second week, Senior Health Desk Editor Madge Kaplan examines caregivers' needs, such as financial assistance, stress relief, easy access to information and equal division of caregiving responsibilities among family members. Each week, the reports will be compiled into a one-hour special and will air the following Sunday at 6 p.m. ET. Those outside the Boston listening area can listen live online, where segments will later be archived (WGBH release, 10/31).
