Due to an error in CongressDaily, Kaiser Daily Health Policy Report incorrectly reported on Feb. 21 that "Karen Ignagni, the president and CEO of the American Association of Health Plans, suggested that the federal government should assume all Medicaid payments for a limited period of time to help states cope with their budget deficits." In fact, Ignagni suggested that the federal government pay Medicaid payments to states for workers displaced by the Sept. 11 attacks -- not for the entire Medicaid population.
