There may be a bitter chill in the air, but we’re glad we have our loyal readers to warm our hearts. We want your sweetest “Health Policy Valentines.” Submissions will be judged by an esteemed panel of experts. We’ll share favorites on our social media channels, and tenderhearted members of our staff will pick the winners, announced on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

Rules:

  • Submit your poem in the form below by 5 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
  • To win, the poem must contain information related to health care and/or health policy that follows the love/valentines theme. The best ones will reference a KFF Health News story in the poem.
  • “Like” KFF Health News and California Healthline on Facebook, and follow @KFFHealthNews on X, formerly known as Twitter, and @KFFHealthNews on Instagram. If you share your poem on social media, please tag @KFFHealthNews and use the hashtag #HealthPolicyValentines.

Prizes: Chief Washington correspondent Julie Rovner will read the winning submission on KFF Health News’ “What the Health?” podcast on Feb. 15. An extra, creative treat: The top poem will be announced with a custom comic illustration drawn by staff illustrator Oona Tempest. The grand prize-winning poem will also be featured in the KFF Health News “Morning Briefing” on Feb. 14, and we will show the winner some love on our social media pages, using the hashtag #HealthPolicyValentines.

Sorry, we’re no longer accepting submissions.
