Baltimore Sun Publishes Interview With Robert Gallo, Co-Discoverer of HIV
The Baltimore Sun on Friday published an interview with Dr. Robert Gallo, who 20 years ago co-discovered HIV. Gallo, who now heads the University of Maryland's Institute of Human Virology, said he believed that a vaccine to prevent HIV infection should have been discovered by now, adding he is surprised that researchers have had more success creating therapies -- including antiretroviral drugs -- than developing a vaccine (Bor, Baltimore Sun, 11/12) The complete interview is available online.
