HIAA Begins Ad Campaign for Long Term Care Tax Credits
The Health Insurance Association of America has launched a $300,000 print and radio advertising campaign to support tax relief for patients who purchase long term care insurance. The print ad features two lawmakers, one Democrat and one Republican, shaking hands in support of legislation providing tax relief for long term care. The ad states: "Republicans and Democrats alike know that private long term care insurance can protect Americans against the sometimes devastating costs associated with long term care. That's why there is bipartisan agreement on tax relief for long term care insurance." The ad concludes: "Providing tax relief for long term care coverage is the single most important step that Congress can take to help people plan and pay for the future." The ads will run in the Washington, D.C., area from March 26 through April 6 and again from April 23 through May 4 (HIAA press release, 3/23).
