Arizona To Use Online Application Program To Enroll Families in Public Health Programs
Arizona will become the second state, after California, to launch the Health-e-App program, an online application designed to enroll low-income families in public health insurance programs. Arizona will pilot the program, which is available in English and Spanish, at 35 sites across the state beginning in May. Project administrators expect Health-e-App to improve the "accuracy and timeliness" of preparing and submitting applications to eligibility agencies. Deloitte Consulting, which developed Health-e-App in cooperation with the California HealthCare Foundation, will help Arizona officials adapt the application to meet members' requirements. Seven organizations will participate in the pilot test (CHCF release, 4/2).
