San Francisco Chronicle Profiles amfAR Hero Award Winner
The San Francisco Chronicle on Sunday profiled Tim Hanlon, head of the Wells Fargo Foundation and recipient of the 2002 American Foundation for AIDS Research Hero Award. The Wells Fargo Foundation grants $82 million annually to 12,000 not-for-profit groups throughout the country, including human services groups addressing HIV/AIDS. In the 12 years that Hanlon has been president of the foundation, he has awarded $12 million to HIV/AIDS organizations (Ganahl, San Francisco Chronicle, 7/6).
