International Planned Parenthood Affiliate Launches Technical Facility To Help Fight HIV/AIDS in Asia
The International Planned Parenthood Federation for the East, Southeast Asia and Oceania Region on Tuesday announced the creation of the Technical Support Facility for Southeast Asia and the Pacific region, which aims to address the challenges faced by all sectors in responding to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, Bernama.com reports. TSF is supported by UNAIDS and is expected to be operational by May or June. The initiative also will address the need for coordinated technical assistance in the region to tackle the epidemic, IPPF ESEAOR Regional Director Raj Karim said (Bernama.com, 2/28).
