N.H. Governor Candidate Faces Political Predicament Over Planned Parenthood Contract
Chris Sununu, one of five members of New Hampshire’s Executive Council, leads the Republican field in the race to succeed Gov. Maggie Hassan. “A vote for the contract will rightfully anger pro-life voters,” says Republican consultant Jim Merrill. "However, a vote against the contract gives Democrats a powerful and visible tool."

Planned Parenthood Contract Up For A Vote In N.H.
New Hampshire leaders will vote Wednesday on the state’s contract with Planned Parenthood clinics for health care services, a determination that would affect many of the state’s low-income women. The decision will come down to a swing vote from Chris Sununu, one of the five members of New Hampshire’s Executive Council and the leading Republican candidate for governor this year. Chris Sununu has voted for state contracts with Planned Parenthood , and he's voted against them. This one, which would send $638,000 to seven clinics, five run by Planned Parenthood. It would subsidize low cost birth control, STD testing, and cancer screenings.
