New York Times Profiles Case of Huron University Student Charged With Failing to Inform Sexual Partner of HIV Infection
The New York Times today examines the case of Si Tanka Huron University student Nikko Briteramos, who is in jail on charges of failing to inform a sexual partner that he has HIV infection. The Times notes that the case is "reminiscent" of a similar incident that took place in 1997 in upstate New York, when 20-year-old HIV-positive Nushawn Williams had unprotected sex with 48 young women and failed to inform them of his status.
