Columbia State Profiles Professor Who Heads Nation’s Only HIV/AIDS Prevention Institute
The Columbia State today profiles Donna Richter, a professor at the University of South Carolina who is "on a mission to save lives" through the establishment of the nation's only HIV/AIDS prevention institute. Richter in November received a three-year, $5.2 million grant from the CDC to set up the institute, which is housed at USC and designed to train AIDS educators from community-based organizations around the country (Freiden, Columbia State, 12/23).
