"Start the Press: How African Communities in the U.K. Can Work With the Media To Confront HIV Stigma," PANOS London: The report, which examines research by PANOS London and the African HIV Policy Network, looks at how African communities in the United Kingdom can work with the media to examine HIV/AIDS issues in the country. The report analyzes HIV-related news stories in the U.K. that featured African migrants. According to the report, the media has a responsibility to challenge HIV/AIDS-related stigma and discrimination, highlight different perspectives, provide accurate information, and generate a public dialogue and debate about the disease (PANOS release, 11/8).
