Denver Post: Romney Banks $100k From Coloradans In 24 Hours After Health Care Ruling
GOP Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney raised $100,000 just from Coloradans alone in the 24 hours after the U.S. Supreme Court affirmed the constitutionality of the individual mandate. The Romney Victory campaign raised $4.6 million nationwide from more than 47,000 donations, after the ruling, campaign officials said (Sherry, 7/2).
Roll Call: DCCC Fundraising Surges Since Supreme Court Decision On Health Care
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised $2.3 million since the Supreme Court's landmark decision Thursday ruling the Affordable Care Act constitutional. In a press release, the DCCC said the average contribution was $35 and that "Saturday was the single biggest grass-roots fundraising day in DCCC history" (Miller, 7/3).
