CLARIFICATION
The Washington Post today ran a clarification regarding its article published yesterday on two different AIDS vaccines, which was covered in the Kaiser Daily HIV/AIDS Report story "NIH, Defense Department Plan to Merge HIV Vaccine Development Efforts Amid Criticism of Duplicate Efforts." The Post says that its article "failed to make clear that it was the vaccine made by Aventis Pasteur, not the one made by VaxGen, that failed to elicit an adequate immune response" in earlier clinical trials (Washington Post, 2/27).
