Fast-track trade legislation is facing a potential new roadblock as a group of House Democrats push back against a proposal tucked into the package that would cut Medicare in order to extend funding for a federal program that helps companies and workers directly hurt by trade deals. Language reauthorizing the Trade Adjustment Assistance program through June 30, 2021, was included in the Trade Promotion Authority package that could hit the House floor this week.
