National Journal: Claims Of Employer-Sponsored Insurance's Demise PrematureA new study finds the effects of health care reform to be minimal on employer-sponsored insurance, despite criticism that changes to how insurance premiums are calculated will force employers to stop offering coverage. Researchers at the Urban Institute, a nonpartisan research center, found overall employer-sponsored insurance coverage under the health care reform law would not differ significantly from what coverage costs without the new law (Fung, 1/25).
