Elton John AIDS Foundation and AIDS Project Los Angeles to Stage Benefit Concert
The Elton John AIDS Foundation is teaming up with AIDS Project Los Angeles to stage an "all-star" benefit concert to recognize the 20th anniversary of the discovery of the disease, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The show, titled "The Concert: 20 Years with AIDS," will be held on Dec. 12 at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles (Eldredge, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 10/24). Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation and AIDS Project Los Angeles ("The Concert" Web site, 10/26). The musicians scheduled to perform at the concert include Elton John, Sting, Bon Jovi, Matchbox Twenty, Alicia Keys and LeAnn Rimes (Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 10/24).
