Massachusetts AIDS Action Committee Names New Executive Director
Michael Duffy has been named the new executive director of the Massachusetts AIDS Action Committee, the Boston Herald reports. Duffy is an advocate for gay rights and has previously served as the head of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the director of the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs. Duffy will succeed Larry Kessler, who has served as director of the Massachusetts AIDS Action Committee since its inception 19 years ago. Kessler, who founded the committee, will now serve as its founding director and will focus on fundraising and other initiatives for the agency (Boston Herald, 3/14).
