Cleveland Artists Create HIV/AIDS Awareness Billboards
Ten Cleveland artists have been commissioned to produce HIV/AIDS awareness billboards for display along area highways, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. The billboards, which will stand through the end of the year, are part of the Art/Action/AIDS project launched last December by the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland. Each of the billboards includes the text, "Sex -- like art -- is not always safe. Express yourself. Protect yourself." They also feature a local phone number that gives "instant access to scheduling" for HIV testing and "answers to critical questions" about HIV transmission.
