New York Daily News Profiles Brooklyn HIV/AIDS Physician, Advocate Beny Primm
The New York Daily News on Monday profiled Dr. Beny Primm, executive director of Brooklyn's Addiction, Research and Treatment Corp. and a "longtime warrior" in the fight against HIV/AIDS, particularly in African-American communities. Primm said that the recent detection of a rare, drug-resistant HIV strain in New York City "should be a warning for everyone to not practice risky sex and to unquestionably be monogamous." He added, "Know your partner's status, know your own status and most of all get tested" (Tarrant-Reid, New York Daily News, 2/21). The complete article is available online.
