Opponents Urge Rejection Of New Medicaid Fees
Opponents of a state plan to charge new fees to Medicaid beneficiaries are urging federal regulators to reject the proposal. At a Statehouse press conference today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, said the Republican-backed plan aims "to gut" the recent expansion of Medicaid through Obamacare, which has extended tax-funded health coverage to more than 600,000 poor Ohioans.
