CMS Launches Annual Provider Satisfaction Survey
Modern HealthCare reports that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid "has launched its fifth annual healthcare provider-satisfaction survey regarding Medicare fee-for-service contractors that process and pay more than $370 billion in Medicare claims each year." The survey "enables Medicare fee-for-service providers the opportunity to give feedback about the services provided by their respective contractor. ... Survey questions will focus on seven business functions of the provider-contractor relationship: provider inquiries; provider outreach and education; claims processing; appeals; provider enrollment; medical review; and provider audit and reimbursement" (Lubell, 1/5).This is part of the Morning Briefing, a summary of health policy coverage from major news organizations.
